Mozambique a country on the move
A brief feedback of the ASeS director’s visit to Mozambique, an important visit made to understand more strongly the dynamics present in the contexts where the NGO operates and to ensure that the many cooperative actions can positively influence the future of these areas. Being present in our target areas allows us to have the answers to our actions, to understand whether we can continue on a shared path that is the green light for us to move forward in the direction of our mission. Being welcomed by local authorities, gaining their trust and esteem is the best, and only, way to give a future to rural people who rank last on the scale of the poorest. However, attention and respect for local cultures and customs are needed, and notions of social farming need to be provided using the agricultural heritage already present locally. No “imposition” but only collaboration and cooperation starting from the value of diversity among peoples and leveraging the elements that unite us.
Mozambique some images that make us proud and even more determined to continue in our resolve to help, through the opportunities offered by good agricultural practices, the many vulnerable people in this area. A goal we accomplish by involving local associations.
